How To Make Your Work Boots Comfortable

No matter if you are training for a marathon, or working long hours, durable men’s waterproof work boots will always be there the need of the hour. This will get you through the day. Traditionally, when we speak of heavy-duty protection, the association comes with hefty work boots. But, the thing is the footwear industry has come a long way. Nowadays, you can get high-performance work boots in the all-new form of flexible and comfortable sneakers.

However, it is quite difficult to find shoes with all specifications. Some of the most difficult combinations to pull off are water resistance, comfort, lightweight, and durability. Some work boots are meant to be rugged and durable. Even though they are great at protecting your feet, they might also be the reason your feet are killing you by the end of your working hours.

This will remain a problem until you switch to custom work boots, those are the ones that don’t come up with arch support that your feet need. This is the reason why they leave your feet in agony. Getting a proper quality boot fit with the right pair of socks will add a huge difference. To make your boots much more comfortable, you can add pace, ramble, or dash insoles. You can also go with the ramble if you are new to insoles or prefer a firm insole with some flex. You can look out for plantar fasciitis and go with the pace if you like extra firmness. You can also opt for a dash, in case you have particularly had flat feet or incline to the rigid insole.

How Should Work Boots Fit?

No matter how much time it takes to get the right fit for your work boots waterproof, it will still be worth it. You can try out different pairs of shoes and check your comfort level. If you are interested in too narrow or short, it will crowd your feet. The same goes with a too big or wide boot, which will allow too much movement and will leave behind hot spots and blisters. These are something that no one prefers having.

The rules are simple, try out your work boots with these simple tricks.-

·       Your socks must be the same that you wear for your office. Try out synthetic blends, wool, or polyester material over cotton to keep your feet more comfortable. For added comfort, cushion the bottom part.

·       Always test for lengths. Make sure to slide your foot forward until your toes meet the front end of the boot. Now, bend your knees forward. Remember that the width of your index finger should fit exactly between the heel of your foot and the back of the shoe. Try it out for both feet.

·       Look out for laces to keep your foot comfortably in place. Don’t put it tight, they should prevent your foot from sliding to the front of the boot.

·       This is an important note that most people ignore, the boot must flex at the ball of your foot. Always avoid the boots that bend in the area of your arch. These don’t have much support.

·       Before a new day, try out your boots, check the fit, comfort level, look, and remember to match the waterproof work shoes with solid coloured socks. Don’t go for fancy combinations.
